Inspired by the Beursschouwburg summer posters, the dutch magazine Das Magazin approached me to be the house illustrator of their 19th edition named ‘Het Gelijk’. As it would be a strictly black and white edition I explored the use of patterns and hatches to emphasize different forms. These I applied to simple linear drawings of deserted interiors where remnants of human interaction are the main focus – a visual parallel to the essays of Hanna Bervoets, Mirke Kist and Charlotte Mutsaers.
